If you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, your Chase points are worth 25% more when used to book travel. So a $500 airfare would look like this:

Flight total: $500 or 40,000 points

But if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, your Chase points are worth 50% more when booking travel through Chase. So your $500 airfare would look like this:

Flight total: $500 or 33,333 points
